DALSTON SUPERNOVAE. ALUN DAVIES.

Talented Art Director / Set Designer Alun Davies was asked by Dalston Superstore's curator Saskia Wickins to take over the upper bar and gallery space for his debut two month art installation titled Dalston Supernovae. I have worked with Alun numerous times and was thrilled to be involved in such a personal project which saw Alun design and create his own mini collection. Gathering materials from London, Berlin and NYC Alun created a intimate tribe of futuristic warriors coated in glass, crystal, metal, mirror and of course glitter! We shot these pieces and made a short film which became part of the exhibition alongside the physical designs. Photography Thomas Cooksey. Film Elva Rodriguez. Please see all credits at the end of the film.

JUST A FEW REASONS WHY I LOVE JEFF HAHN..............

Jeff Hahn is one of my favourite young new photographers in London. I met him this summer and we have since teamed up to shoot a Diesel story for Rollacoaster and Trine Hav Christian's RCA MA graduate collection. Jeff's work is fresh, personal and experimental and here are just some of the reasons why I LOVE him.................

RCA.MA.TRINE HAV CHRISTENSEN.......

Every year I scan the BA and MA design classes hoping to spot new talents and this year the RCA did not disappoint with MA womenswear graduate Trine Hav Christensen. With the legendary Julie Verhoeven as her tutor Trine certainly took notes and executed a bold but equally balanced collection. Trine's collection is a rich mix of body con pop and citrus printed velvet, teamed with light chalky chiffon and a huge dramatic splash of transparent frills, top layers, all sprinkled with crystals....

Here is the majority of her collection I shot with Jeff Hahn on the beautiful Vita at Select. I really can't wait to see what is next for Trine!

S-MAGAZINE. RANKIN.

Dress by Craig Lawrence
The wonderful Rankin just shot the whole issue of S MAG using the new Leica S - System and here is our story, which got one of the covers! YEAH : ) For this issue Rankin choose 9 hair stylists across the world to each direct their own story and I was teamed up with Kenna, which I loved! Kenna is one of the most inspiring hair stylists I work with, he is always so full of ideas and I really can't think of many hair stylists that would pull a 'bald head' look out to tell their hair story .....Genius! Kenna we LOVE you and Rankin we LOVE you too! Visit HUNGER TV to see the story and short films.
