I love discovering new and exciting talents. One I have recently found out about is Clio Peppiatt. Clio is a print and fashion designer who has recently graduated from Ravensbourne and showed her first collection at Graduate Fashion Week 2013. 

I love her new range of printed shirts and t-shirts, especially the ones inspired by the computer game Grand Theft Auto. What a clever design!

This Christmas Hackney Council has commissioned 5 local fashion designers to design Christmas trees for their "Make Hackney Sparkle" project. Go and see Emma Cook's tree on Church Street in Stoke Newington, Louise Gray's in Dalston Square, Piers Atkinson's on Old Steet in Shoreditch, House of Hackney's at Hackney Town Hall in Hackney Central and Holly Fulton's in at Prince Edward Road in Hackney Wick. 

What a wonderful project! To get even more into the Hackney Christmas spirit you can join the "Make Hackney Sparkle" event this evening from 19:30 for some art installations, street food and mulled wine at:

Emily's work is inspired by big hair, 60's girl groups and sleaze, she likes to create a campy chaos within her illustrations.
