Phoebe English took over the top floor at Beach Blanket Babylon for her press day and managed to decorate the whole space with her fabulous AW12 collection. Here are some of my favourite moments.............

The black lineup from AW12, great textures, rubber, knit, wool. I love the 'basket weave'. 

Pink rubber and wool skirt. This skirt is made of so many strips of rubber all carefully hand sewn together it's incredible to see in real life.

As well as her AW12 collection Phoebe has made this small 'commercial range' of all black, sheer meets rubber, great shapes, affordable and very wearable.

'CREATIVE PANE' EXHIBITION AT DALSTON SUPERSTORE

Brilliant, I finally got a second to pop into Dalston Superstore and check out my frame as part of Saskia Wickins 'Creative Frame' exhibition. The private view was held on the 8th March, which I missed........ : ( I love projects like this, born out of love, with such freedom.

A small handful of London creatives were asked to each take a frame and using the concept of 'A view through an open window' provide a unique insight into our work environments. Although quite a scary project, being so personal, this was a lot of fun to work on..... I wanted mine to oozzzeee blue whilst giving an insight into my most recent work/ going ons. The best part is seeing everyones interpretation, together in 1 space. Here are just some of my favourites........

KITTY JOSEPH AW12

This season I worked with the uber talented newcomer Kitty Joseph. Kitty has not long graduated from the RCA with a bold, bright, printed textile collection. Her two tone printed perspex glasses caught my eye and encouraged a collaboration with Piers Atkinson for his SS12 ' Hot Voodoo' collection. Since then I have followed Kitty closely and enjoyed the chance to work with her on her AW12 collection.

This season Kitty continues to explores her love for printed textile design and, inspired by her own hand painting, Kitty translates these ideas into digital and engineered prints. Fabrics range from stretch velvet, jersey and mesh, to thick neoprene with industrial zips. Long sleeves and a high neck create chic body con silhouettes, whilst contrasting the more aggressive outline of the neoprene. Working alongside the collection is an exciting range of 'snow globe' inspired accessories (perspex sunglasses, tube/hoop earrings, bracelets and necklaces all housing some really cool, fun glitter). I need this whole collection with blue glitter everywhere!
