This week's Sketchbook Sunday I would like to feature the visual artist Donald Robertson aka 'Donald Drawberston.' By day Donald Robertson is the head of creative development at Bobbi Brown and one of the co-founders of MAC Cosmetics and it is at night he says he creates his playful, humorous and colourful artworks. BEYOND THE GLASS. SHOWSTUDIO

Ruth Hogben explores the feeling of ugliness in her latest film for SHOWstudio drawing further inspiration from Alfred Hitchcock. Staring Saskia de Brauw and styled by Robbie Spencer, the film exposes the fashion industry's obsession with the ugly and awkward.

KATE MOSS X STELLA MCCARTNEY. KATE DREAMS

Here is one of my favourite campaigns of the season… I thought I would share Stella McCartney's latest collaboration with Kate Moss. This is the seventh campaign featuring Kate, but the first time they have worked together in 5 years. The film, directed by Mert and Marcus sees Kate posing against a Salvador Dali - esque backdrop of space scenes and rolling seas.

SKETCHBOOK SUNDAY . BESS NYC

This weeks Sketchbook Sunday goes to Instagram sensation / collage artist Douglas Abraham, or better known as @bessnyc4

Based in New York City, Douglas Abraham began BESS as a fine jewellery line in 2000. The growing boutique quickly evolved and established itself as an apparel brand along with jewellery and accessories. As social media now plays such a role in the development of ones brand, Doug began to use Instagram and soon found himself lazy with posting. He then approached @bessnyc4 as more of an art project.

As perfectly quoted in the unveiling interview with Dazed Digital, 'Abraham cuts up and reworks iconic fashion campaigns and images, chopping and screwing them with found images that casts a different light on the subject and re-examines contemporary notions of beauty, sexuality and good taste. Horror films, porn, bondage, transmogrification, cyborg technology have all been fodder for his twisted dystopian worldview'

NADI SS15. HUNGER TV. TRISHA WARD

I met NaDi during her LCF catwalk debut and I knew she was someone to look out for. I have always enjoyed supporting new talent and I felt privileged to work closely with NaDi for her SS15 menswear lookbook. The very talented Trisha Ward captures Oliver Cookson perfectly in these playful shots.
Check out HungerTV for more.

HUNGER MAGAZINE

Amber Anderson / Hunger Magazine Issue 6

Okay.. SO I have been silent for awhile - but I promise it is for good reason. Since given the title of Womenswear Director of Hunger Magazine, I've been working closely with the Hunger team to make the 7th issue beyond maje. So far this has been such a learning experience and so so rewarding. Soon the magazine goes to print for our fall release and I am itching with excitement for you all to see what we've created. Until then… I will continue to tease with posts on my blog :)
