This week for Sketchbook Sunday I would like to nominate American artist Pat Steir. She has been an influential artist for decades now, developing recognition in the 80's by her technique that involved applying paint exclusively by dripping and flinging it onto the canvas. Pat Steir has always searched to understand the relationship between artwork and its audience, pushing her audience to find their own meaning of her artwork.
