BASSO & BROOKE A/W12 AT LONDON FASHION WEEK: REPORT BY EMILY BEARD
The Basso and Brooke duo continue to reinvent their signature print each season, and Autumn/Winter 2012 is no exception.
Whilst the previous season saw their vision realised through a mashup of tropical plants and galaxies in a hyper technicolour, the Basso and Brooke girl for Autumn/Winter 2012 was draped in more rigid formed prints, such as houndstooth and geometrics. Though there was still plenty of colour, the palette was more murky and subdued, slashed every so often with a shot of blood red. The beauty subtly made reference to the pieces in the collection with fading colours, as lips were outlined in a deep black and faded to a rich velvet burgundy.
